This special MP3-only project was originally made available
as release #28 on the now defunct techNOH site (in the
year 2000, Brian Lavelle, a young student of Scotland, started one of
the earliest weblabels... in the 4 years in which it was active, techNOH
released 36 releases which are classics. In 2003 the project unfortunately
ceased to exist, but is currently undergoing a slow resurrection here

"Laliberte's 'Family Transit' is a disturbed expedition.
Bits of human voices, abused car engines struggling to start and high-pitched
bleeping noises pepper the track's hypnotic melody line. The dissonance
of the first track resolves into bliss with the second, 'A Leaving Atmosphere'.
The track takes on the shape of a movie soundtrack. A warm synthesizer atmosphere
and a variety of noises take us back to the days of Commodore 64 computing.
Together, Laliberte's songs tell the listener a compelling story with sound."
